JAKARTA - Member of Commission VII DPR RI, Iman Adinugraha suggested that the government make regulations regarding the involvement of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program. According to him, the regulation contains obligations for MBG organizers to supply food from MSME actors.

There should be regulations that require them (MBG organizers) to take the basic ingredients from local MSMEs so that they can be felt. So there are no more complaints that MSMEs are not involved in MBG," said Iman during a conversation with Eddy Wijaya on the EDShareOn podcast which aired on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.

According to Iman, the government is currently improving the MBG implementation system, especially the involvement of MSMEs in meeting MBG's food needs. The improvement efforts can be seen from the existence of regulations regarding the involvement of MSMEs in MBG, The president also hopes that this free nutritious meal can be felt by MSMEs, becoming meat suppliers, becoming vegetable suppliers. But the regulation, the government is still looking for the right formula for how this nutritious food is rolled out but it can be felt by MSMEs," he said.

The MBG program has 2 categories for the involvement of MSMEs, namely MSME Mitra or kitchen manager MBG, and MSMEs Suppliers of Raw Materials. For MSME Mitra, the Government through the Ministry of MSMEs disbursed capital assistance of IDR 500 million for the purchase of the MBG menu. The assistance was channeled through the Association of State Banks (Himbara) namely Bank Mandiri, BRI, BNI and BTN. MSMEs that can access this category are first selected by the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) after registering on the website partner.bgn.go.id. The category of MSMEs that Supplie Baku Materials is not necessary through registration but can be done by coordinating directly to the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) in their respective regions.

However, the member of the Regional House of Representatives of Sukabumi Regency, West Java, for the 2004-2009 and 2009-2014 periods, explained that the MBG program rules need to be formulated again because they tend to only be done by big entrepreneurs. "The portion (MBG) can only be reached by big entrepreneurs. Because maybe with large capital, large equipment, large kitchens, of course this can only be done by big entrepreneurs," said Iman.

Therefore, Iman said to urge the Minister of MSMEs to play an active role in submitting regulations so that the food supply of MBG can be handled by MSME actors. Minister of MSMEs must also coordinate with the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) so that the regulation can be felt by local MSMEs who today actually hope," said the graduate of the Accounting Department, Yogyakarta University of Technology.

The Democrat Party politician believes that the government will find the appropriate formulation in the implementation of the MBG in the future. "Maybe over time, because the government is also preparing carefully, God willing, in a few months the ideal format can be met," said Iman.

Member of Commission VII DPR RI, Iman Adinugraha stated that his party had given recommendations to the government to provide protection for investors running their business in Indonesia. He considered the recommendation important because of disturbances that threaten the security and comfort of the investment world.

"During the meeting at Commission VII, we suggest that the government coordinate with law enforcement officials to protect our investors," said Iman to Eddy Wijaya. In terms of security we guarantee, we also facilitate the bureaucracy, we give tax incentives so that they invest. Because the effect is labor, taxes are also entered, "said Iman.

The legislator from Sukabumi Regency, West Java, said that one of the investment disturbances was from certain Community Organizations (Ormas) who asked investors for some money. There are people from mass organizations who sometimes when investment wants to enter an area have been shaken first. They have asked for this quota first, this allotment, so that investors have not been disturbed, from psychology they are already afraid of him," he said.

Not to mention the word Iman, business licensing in Indonesia has many conditions that disturb investor convenience. For example, procedures that have to go through a number of bureaucracy to the village government level. We, local people, want to invest like that, we are already dizzy, let alone outsiders. Outsideers come to our country, we want to invest, but the procedures for the requirements are complicated. This means that the regulations are implemented again," he said.
