The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Is Ready To Open CCTV To Answer The Allegation Of Hasto's Kubu Regarding Intimidation

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) denies any investigators who intimidate. They are ready to open CCTV in the examination room of the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

This was conveyed by the Director of Investigation of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu in response to Rossa Purbo Bekti's report to the KPK Supervisory Board on Wednesday, February 19 yesterday.

This investigator was reported because it was considered arbitrary when he was tasked with investigating the bribery case of interim replacement (PAW) members of the Indonesian House of Representatives and the challenge.

"Is there intimidation and others, if there are reports related to intimidation, we will also prepare it during the inspection, there is CCTV. We will take the CCTV for later evidence when confirmed by the Council," Asep told reporters quoted on Thursday, February 20.

Asep said that the KPK had no problem with the actual report. The Council is believed to be responding to the report appropriately.

"We will also of course prove these reports that we or investigators work professionally based on the existing SOPs in the applicable regulations," he said.

Previously reported, Rossa Purbo Bekti was reported by the legal team of the PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto to the KPK Supervisory Board. This investigator is considered to have committed arbitrarily in investigating the bribery case for the interim replacement (PAW) of members of the DPR RI and the obstruction of the investigation.

"In order to provide fair law enforcement against suspected SOP violations committed by KPK investigators. So we reported Rossa Purbo Bekti's brother," said Johanes Tobing as a member of Hasto's legal team, Wednesday, February 19.

Johanes accused Rosa of several arbitrary acts in carrying out her duties. Among them, they deceived Kusnadi, who is a Hasto staff member and confiscated him.

"This examination of Kusnadi has never shown a letter from the KPK investigator," he said.

"Well, the entire series carried out by KPK investigators that we reported today to the Council," continued Johanes.

He hopes that the report made will be followed up by the KPK Council. This is because they claim that the two reports that have been made against Rossa are unclear in the end.

"I understand very well that no one is above the law in this country, but if they meet with reckless, unprofessional KPK investigators, please take action," he said.

"We ask that this is the third letter, we hope that the leadership of the KPK Council will check our letter and call the people we have reported this," explained the lawyer.
