The Cianjur Regency Government has relocated SDN Cibungur I in Agrabinta District which was heavily damaged by land movement.
Head of Disdikpora Cianjur, Ruhli Solehudin said that due to natural disasters that occurred in 15 sub-districts in Cianjur, dozens of schools ranging from elementary and junior high schools were reportedly damaged due to flooding, landslides and ground movement.
"In total, 50 schools were damaged, with details of 48 elementary schools and two junior high schools, most of which were lightly, moderately damaged and only two were severe, some of whose infrastructure was damaged because they were flooded," he said in Cianjur, Friday, December 6, as reported by Antara.
Ruhli noted that from dozens of schools that were affected, it did not interfere with student teaching and learning activities who were participating in the semester-end assessment, it continued because the school was assisted by residents and volunteers who had done quick treatment.
As for schools that have been relocated in Agrabinta District because they are included in the red zone of ground movement, so schools are moved along with residents' villages that are considered not to be like occupied.
"The Regent of Cianjur has asked the village and sub-districts to invest in areas that can be used as relocation sites for villages and schools," he said.
