Police Confirm 4 Civilians Beaten By TNI Personnel In Front Of Central Jakarta Police Headquarters

Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro confirmed the incident that occurred in front of the Central Jakarta Police Headquarters on Thursday morning, March 28. The victims of four people were civilians who were beaten by TNI personnel.

The four victims were Abdullah (26), a resident of Bogor Regency who works as a casual daily worker, Mahih (42) a resident of Balaraja, Hasan (32) a resident of Cirebon who also works as a casual daily worker, and Syefri Wahyudi (25) a resident of Cirebon.

"We will evacuate immediately. We are also coordinating with Pomdam Jaya because there are allegations of involvement of TNI personnel," said Kombes Susatyo when confirmed, Thursday, March 28, afternoon.

Kombes Susatyo said the incident was motivated by a colleague of TNI personnel named Prada Lukman, who was beaten by the four civilian victims.

Three civilians suspected of ganging up on Prada Lukman himself have actually been arrested by Central Jakarta Metro Police investigators.

The three were named Odi Rohyadi (30), Fazli Destiadi Putra (28), and Maulana (23), respectively.

Military Police Commander of Kodam Jaya (Danpomdam Jaya) Brigadier General CPM Irsyad Hamdie Bey Anwar confirmed the involvement of TNI personnel in the persecution.

He said his party targeted 14 TNI personnel from various units involved in the incident. But only eight people have been arrested. Meanwhile, the other six will follow.

When asked which units the TNI elements came from, Irsyad could not express it straightforwardly.

"I can't mention one by one. Because there are a lot of them," he said.

Previously, it was reported that as many as four men were in critical condition after being beaten by a group of well-built people in front of the Central Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Thursday, March 28, in the early hours of the morning. The incident occurred at around 00.45 WIB.

According to the information gathered, as many as 4 victims were found critical. They were taken to Hermina Kemayoran Hospital, Central Jakarta, for treatment.

The incident occurred when a group of dozens of people took four victims by riding. Then the four victims were taken to the front of the Central Jakarta Metro Police. Without further ado, the victim was immediately persecuted.

The incident was resolved by other joint forces. The perpetrators of the beating in groups finally left the Central Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters.

After the incident, 4 victims of the beating who were lying on the road were taken by ambulance to Hermina Kemayoran Hospital, Central Jakarta.
