The National Police Fires Bripda CS, A Police Person Who Has Drunk Alcohol And Shoots The TNI And 3 Residents At RM Cafe Cengkareng

JAKARTA - The National Police Headquarters (Mabes) confirmed that they would fire Bripda CS who was involved in the shooting case at RM Cafe, Cengkareng, West Jakarta. This dismissal is in accordance with the applicable rules.

"In accordance with Government Regulation number 1 of 2003 article 11, 12, 13 the Polda Metro Jaya Propam Division and the Police Propam Division will process the disrespectful dismissal (PTDH) of those concerned," said Head of Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Ferdy Sambo in his statement, Thursday, 25. February.

The dismissal process, said Ferdy, would be carried out through a code of ethics commission hearing. Furthermore, criminal proceedings will also be carried out directly against Bripda CS.

"The suspect Bripda CS, a member of the West Jakarta Kalideres Police, was subjected to criminal proceedings by the Directorate of Criminal Investigation of Polda Metro Jaya," he said.

Furthermore, Ferdy Sambo also emphasized that the National Police Propam will examine all ranks related to firearms ownership procedures. This examination includes a psychological test, shooting practice, and a behavioral log.

"Propam Polri will control the prohibition of Polri members from entering entertainment venues and drinking alcohol, including drug abuse," he said.

Previously it was reported that the shooter at the RM Cafe was a police officer with the initials CS. Currently, he has been named a suspect. In fact, in this case the police officers were charged under the criminal act of murder.

"This morning (the police) have been named as suspects," said the Head of Metro Jaya Regional Police, Inspector General Fadil Imran.

In this case too, CS was charged with article 338 of the Criminal Code regarding murder. The use of this article is because the investigator judges that the element of murder has been fulfilled in the act.
