DPRD Cecar DKI Provincial Government Half-Heart Asks For Management Of Athletes' Wisma To The Center

JAKARTA - Chairman of Commission D of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Ida Maheasy questioned the DKI Provincial Government regarding the plan to take over Wisma Atlet to be managed by local governments.

Ida admitted that she had discussed the request for management of Wisma Atlet Pademangan to the Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono. To Ida, Basuki said that the Ministry of State Secretariat had allowed the DKI Provincial Government to take over Wisma Atlet.

This was revealed by Ida in a working meeting to discuss the APBD accountability statement report (LKPJ) for the 2024 fiscal year on Thursday, April 25 evening.

"I have asked PUPR directly, PUPR has had a meeting with the Minister of State Secretariat regarding Wisma Atlet Pademangan. And they allow it to be donated to us for residents of DKI Jakarta," said Ida.

However, it turns out that the DKI Provincial Government has not yet submitted a letter requesting the takeover of Wisma Atlet Pademangan to the Ministry of PUPR to be forwarded to the Ministry of State Secretariat as the owner of the asset.

Ida assessed that the DKI Provincial Government is half-hearted in the management plan of Wisma Atlet. Because, when Ida confirmed this, the Head of Settlement Division of the DKI Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Area Office, Retno Sulistyaningrum, reasoned that Wisma Atlet was not suitable as a flat (rusun) for residents.

"If you still remember that meeting at the Bappeda, I asked Mrs. Retno to write a letter. But it turns out that Mrs. Retno said that it was too elite to make flats because there was heating and so on," said Ida.

Ida reminded that until now the DKI Provincial Government has not been able to complete the fulfillment of housing for residents. Moreover, in the 2024 budget, there is no construction of flats located in North Jakarta and Central Jakarta.

"We don't have any construction for 2024 this year in the north. We're just building in the south. Why don't we do that process? People don't use money. For the housing of the residents of Kampung Bayam. I'm sure there won't be a polemic anymore," he explained.

Ida Maheasy suggested that the DKI Provincial Government take over the management of Wisma Atlet Kemayoran and Wisma Atlet Pademangan to function as flats.

Previously, Ida suggested that the DKI Provincial Government submit a request for the takeover of the management of the two athletes' guesthouses to the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) as the owner of the building with the basis of housing needs and public facilities.

"I think there is nothing wrong with the DKI Regional Government also processing it for us to ask, make the top flats, we will build a child's hospital under it. We need it. This is quite large, you know, the athlete's guesthouse, there is Wisma Atlet Kemayoran, there is Wisma Atlet Pademangan," said Ida at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building, Wednesday, February 1, 2023

According to Ida, the management of the athlete's guesthouse by the DKI Provincial Government is better done because the building is no longer used by the central government as a place for isolation of COVID-19 patients.

Bearing in mind, as of early January 2023, BNPB stopped operating athletes' guesthouse towers for handling COVID-19 and only alerted one tower in anticipation of an increase in corona cases.

"We don't need prestige, that's it. The central government is our parents. We have succeeded (managed) those in Pasar Rumput, now add more athletes' guesthouses.
