PPKM In Jakarta Status Up To Level 2, Deputy Governor Riza Patria: This Is A Warning To Citizens, Keep Maintaining Health Protocols

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria said that the increase in the status of Level 2 Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in Jakarta is a warning to all parties to be vigilant, be careful, and strictly apply health protocols.

"Hopefully, the implementation of level two will serve as a warning to be more careful, and to comply with health protocols," said Riza Patria at The Fatwa Center Education Seminar in Jakarta, Antara, Tuesday, November 30.

The increase in the PPKM level must be faced and carried out to suppress the transmission of COVID-19 ahead of the Christmas and New Year's 2022 holidays. Usually, he continued, the holiday momentum is always followed by an increase in the number of positive COVID-19 cases.

Restriction of activities or activities that have the potential to cause crowds is one of the preventive measures. "This is a process that must be followed, we will face it," said Riza Patria.

The central government issued the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) Number 63 of 2021 concerning Level 3 PPKM, Two and One to raise the PPKM status in DKI Jakarta from level one to level two.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, continued Riza, will adjust the provisions in the Inmendagri with derivative regulations that will be issued in the near future.

"Later, we will adjust the Governor's Regulation in response to the Minister of Home Affairs entering the end of the year," said Riza.

Previously, the government had again increased the PPKM status in DKI Jakarta from level one to level two which took effect from November 30 to December 13, 2021.

The latest Instruction from the Minister of Home Affairs changes the previous instruction, namely Inmendagri Number 60 of 2021 which ends on November 29, 2021.

With this increase, a number of adjustments were made, including tightening the number of capacities in certain sectors, such as the non-essential business sector from the previous 75 percent to 50 percent from office work (WFO).

The essential sectors include finance and banking from the previous maximum of 100 percent to a maximum of 75 percent.

Then, supermarkets, hypermarkets, traditional markets, grocery stores, and supermarkets have a maximum visitor capacity of 75 percent, which was previously 100 percent. Food stalls/warteg, street vendors, street stalls and the like are allowed to open until 21.00 p.m. from previously until 22.00 p.m. with a capacity of 50 percent, previously 75 percent.

Restaurants/restaurants, cafes located in buildings or open areas, both in separate locations and in malls, are allowed to open 50 percent until 21.00 p.m.

Previously, at Level 1 PPKM, it was allowed to open until 22.00 p.m. with a capacity of 75 percent. Malls, shopping centers, and trade centers are opened with 50 percent capacity until 21.00 p.m., which previously was 100 percent until 22.00 p.m.
