Family Stories Of Fire Victims: My Nephew Though He Wants To Be Free

JAKARTA - Families of victims of prison inmates (WBP) who died as a result of the fire incident at the Class 1 Tangerang prison began to visit the National Police Hospital, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta.

They came with their children and their families who were reported to have died after the fire.

Diah (47) one of the aunts of the WBP victim who died as a result of the fire said that she took the initiative to visit the Kramat Jati Police Hospital after receiving news that her nephew, Alfian (30) had died.

"My niece wants to be free (from Tangerang prison) even though, (detained) is a drug case. Earlier I wanted to get news that Alfian had died. I immediately checked here because I live near here", she told VOI at the Police Hospital, Wednesday, September 8.

Diah said that Alfian's mother often visited him at the Tangerang prison before he received the sad news.

"His mother is on the way here (Police Hospital). The family hopes that the government is responsible because Alfian died in prison. Ask for a thorough investigation because the fire from inside was so fast", she said.

As is known, the bodies of 41 WBP victims of the fire arrived at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital on Wednesday, September 8, afternoon. The 41 bodies will be identified by the DVI Team of the Police Hospital.
