Police Hold Noisy Exhaust Raids, Bikers Escape And Hit Police Motorbike

South Tangerang - The South Tangerang Police Patrol and Escort's motorbike had an accident with a motorbike rider who often carried out Sunday morning rides (sunmori) on BSD Raya Utama street.

Head of South Tangerang Police Traffic Unit, Police Commissioner Adjutant Dicky Dwi Priambudi Sutarman said the incident occurred on Sunday, August 22, morning. At the time of the incident, officers were conducting raids and controlling motorcyclists with noisy exhausts that were often speeding in the area.

"It happened this morning, when our members were on patrol looking for speeding vehicles," said Dicky when interviewed, Sunday (22/8).

While on BSD Raya Utama street, said Dicky, there were a number of motorcycle riders turning around to avoid the officers. The motorcyclist fled against the flow of traffic until he finally passed and hit one of the South Tangerang Police Patrol and Escort officers.

"One of the officers crossed paths with another motorcyclist who was going in the opposite direction to avoid the patrol," said Dicky.

There were no victims in the incident. Both vehicles suffered only minor damage. Dicky said the motorcyclists and motorbikes caught by officers in the patrol had now been taken to the South Tangerang Police Headquarters for further examination.

"Earlier, there were 55 vehicles that we took action against. And there were 12 who were sanctioned pushing them to the South Tangerang Police Headquarters, for going against the flow and exceeding the maximum speed limit," he concluded.
