Deputy Governor Riza Denies 239 DKI ASN Refusal To Participate In Job Selection Due To TGUPP Action
JAKARTA - As many as 239 state civil servants (ASN) of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government do not want to participate in the open selection for echelon II high leadership positions (JPT).
A number of parties suspect that the reason for the reluctance of civil servants to participate in the selection for promotion to the office is because of the role of the Governor's Team for the Acceleration of Development (TGUPP), which is suspected of being too involved in the affairs of regional work units.
However, this was denied by DKI Jakarta Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria. Deputy Governor Riza emphasized that there is no dichotomy between state civil servants (ASN) of Jakarta and TGUPP.
"I don't think so. I think all TGUPP, all agencies are working together for the development of the city of Jakarta," said Deputy Governor Riza at the City Hall, Tuesday, May 18.
According to Riza, the role and duties of TGUPP are in accordance with its implementation, namely making a study of a program and providing input to Anies in developing Jakarta.
"The TGUPP helps provide input. All work together for the benefit of the people of Jakarta. The city is progressing, the people are happy," said Riza.

On Monday, May 10 afternoon, the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan "dried" 239 ASNs in the DKI City Hall field. Anies is angry. They do not want to participate in the open selection registration for echelon II.
"Luckily, ladies and gentlemen are wearing masks today, you can't see your face. If you take a photo, your faces are recorded as individuals who did not carry out the instructions. I want to convey it here, we are really ashamed. It's a shame why there are instructions not being carried out," said Anies.
In fact, Regional Secretary Instruction Number 43 of 2021 has been issued regarding open selection for high leadership positions in DKI Jakarta since last April. These instructions are mandatory for ASNs to meet the requirements.
If ASN cannot participate in the open selection, then they are obliged to convey the reasons why they cannot participate in the open selection for echelon II positions.
"This means that if there is an instruction, it must be carried out. Not just silence and then hoping that it is not known, hoping that it will not be considered a problem. That is called irresponsible action," said Anies.
Chairman of the PDIP Faction DPRD DKI Jakarta Gembong Warsono commented on this. According to Gembong, the reluctance of DKI civil servants cannot be separated from the domination of TGUPP.
"Yes, the mechanism, why is the mechanism wrong? This is the order in which people are ordered to test first. After all, the test doesn't really matter, why? There are people who are the most influential, the problem is there, I suspect TGUPP. That's the most influential. That's what determines," Gembong said.
