Sukabumi Pilkada Debate, 2 Candidates For Regent Promise To Remove MSME Loan Interests

JABAR - Two candidates for Sukabumi Regent Iyos Somantri and Asep Japar both promised to remove capital loan interest for MSME players in their area if they won the 2024 Pilakda.

The second promise was conveyed during a public debate held by the General Election Commission (KPU) of Sukabumi Regency at Nusa Putra University Sukabumi, Saturday, October 27.

"The Sukabumi Regency Government has a People's Credit Bank (BPR), of course the existence of this bank must help MSME players, especially those who want to apply for capital additional credit. Not only makes accessing credit, if I am elected as the Regent of Sukabumi, it will make a interest-free credit policy for Sukabumi Regency MSME actors," said Sukabumi Regent candidate number 1 Iyos Somantri during a public debate.

Not only promising interest-free credit, the former Deputy Regent of Sukabumi, his party will create a policy program for MSME players so that their businesses and income continue to increase, such as by providing training, promotion, and capital assistance.

This training program is important for MSME players to be able to develop their business, be competitive, innovative and can keep up with the times, especially in terms of marketing such as utilizing the internet.

Then, the Sukabumi Regency Government will also routinely promote MSME products typical of Sukabumi Regency at the local, national to international levels so that they are increasingly widely known. Regarding capital assistance, of course, the government will make special budgets in the Sukabumi Regency APBD such as MSMEs that are developing but are constrained by capital assistance.

Not very different from Iyos, the candidate for Sukabumi Regent number 2 Asep Japar said that he, who had served as Head of the Sukabumi Regency Cooperatives, Industry, Trade and MSMEs, certainly understood how to handle every MSME to advance to class, not experience bankruptcy due to errors in managing money and MSMEs which were difficult to develop due to lack of capital.

Of course, if elected as the Regent of Sukabumi, the development of MSMEs will be the main focus of his party in an effort to improve the economy of the citizens, because as is known, MSMEs are the main pillar of the regional economy.

However, these business actors must also be assisted, especially in terms of capital. Therefore, the government will be present to help them, such as eliminating loan interest for additional capital and making it easier to get access to loans from banks.

"I often hear complaints from small traders and MSME players who find it difficult to get access to capital loans and feel heavy with bank interest, not to mention that if they are late in paying installments, they will be fined. If I become a regent, there will be no more problems and complaints like that, one of which is by removing interest on MSME capital loans," he said.

The first debate between the candidate pair for the Regional Head of Sukabumi Regency was held at the Auditorium of Nusa Putra Sukabumi University, Saturday. The debate was followed by two pairs of candidates, namely number 1 Iyos Somantri - Zainul and candidate pair number 2 Asep Japar alias Asjap - Andreas.

The theme of this public debate is "Strategy to realize the welfare and service of the community for the development of Sukabumi Regency which is advanced, independent and sustainable". This debate lasted for two hours from 19.00 WIB to 21.00 WIB.
