National Police Chief-TNI Commander Checks Security For Pope Francis Mass: 87 Thousand People Will Attend
National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said as many as 87,000 Catholics would attend the Grand Mass led by Pope Francis at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Main Stadium, Jakarta.
The statement was made after reviewing the readiness to secure activities that will take place on Thursday, September 5.
"Based on information from the committee so far, approximately 87,000 will be present outside the liquid period, of course, everything must be served properly," Sigit told reporters, Wednesday, September 4.
Not only security, another thing that is of concern is traffic flow. Because, it is undeniable that the grand mass will cause traffic jams.
Therefore, the traffic engineering scheme must be considered in its implementation. Thus, the grand mass activity did not harm other motorists.
In addition, the pick-up of mass participants until the parking bag is also included in the examination list.
"We want to ensure in terms of security in terms of how to provide services to activities to the congregation on how to pick up the pick-up process, and also of course the parking and traffic engineering arrangements that must be carried out," said Sigit.
