Avanade Study: Employee Concerns In Using Generative AI On Copilot M365 Decreased
JAKARTA Avanade, a digital service provider, released the results of a recent study on the impact of Microsoft Copilot's use of Microsoft 365 in the workplace. This study involved hundreds of employees from around the world. Copilot is a generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology that dapt supports productive workflows. According to Growth Markets Area President Avanade Bhavya Kapoor, a human-assisted generative AI can achieve business success. "To maximize the full AI benefit, it is important for employees not only to be proficient in using this technology," said Kapoor. "When we integrate AI into a wider business strategy, it is essential to focus on human-centered AI approaches." Copilot for M365 is considered as one of the tools supporting digital transformation in the workplace. Therefore, Avanade conducted this study to find out the impact of AI being a generative in supporting the performance of companies and employees. There are six impacts that Avanade found in the surveys they created, namely communication, creativity and innovation, job satisfaction, feeling of having, and collaborative behavior of the organization. Communication is the most prominent impact of this survey.

Initially, 72 percent of workers were worried about using Copilot until they were careful every time they wanted to communicate. They are afraid that all the talks will be recorded. However, 45 percent of workers feel more relaxed after using Copilot for six weeks. The results of this study show that Copilot for M365 has a positive impact on creativity and innovation so that more than 89 percent of employees want to try a new way of working. Unfortunately, there has been a decrease in interest in doing original tasks. Other findings suggest that Copilot for M365 enhances employee ability to adapt to new technologies. Many think that this tool fits the company's needs and suits personal needs.
