Puslabfor Polri Investigate Cause Of Fire At Graha Bunga Pondok Aren Police Post

TANGERANG - The laboratory and forensic center team (Puslabfor) of the National Police Headquarters visited the Graha Bunga Police Post (Pospol), Pondok Aren, South Tangerang and the South Tangerang Indonesian Television Journalists Association (IJTI) Office to find out the cause of the building fire.

Kapolsek Pondok Aren Police Commissioner Bambang Askar Sodiq said that the National Police Laboratory had taken a number of pieces of evidence for investigation.

"A number of items in the form of cables and electrical meters that were suspected to be the trigger for the fire were secured," Bambang told reporters at the location, Wednesday, July 24.

Bambang said that his party had also examined a number of witnesses, to find out more for sure the chronology of the burning of the Graha Bunga Police Post.

"There have been three witnesses since last night we examined. We have also made a police report to complete the investigation administration which is important for the completeness of the investigation process," he said.

Regarding the explosion during the fire that occurred, Tuesday, July 23, Bambang confirmed this. He said that the explosion was caused by broken glass when the fire broke out.

"After being traced, the sound of the explosion came from broken glass," he concluded.

Pospol Graha Bunga caught fire on Tuesday, July 23, evening. When the incident happened, the South Tangerang Damkar team was able to extinguish the fire for 45 minutes.

In that incident there were no casualties, but for losses it reached tens of millions of rupiah.
