The Fire That Burned SDN 10 Pondok Bambu, East Jakarta, Is Getting Bigger, 500 People Are Being Evacuated
A total of 85 personnel from the East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. officers are still struggling to extinguish the fire that burned the SDN 10 Pondok Bambu building, Jalan Gading II and Jalan H Kavling, RT 05/11, Pondok Bambu, Pondok Bambu Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, Tuesday, July 23, afternoon.
The fire burned almost all the buildings in the school building.
"The object caught fire in the school warehouse, drumband warehouse and 18 classrooms. The cause of the fire was suspected to be an electrical short," said Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Abdul Wahid when confirmed by VOI.
The burned area is about 700 square meters. The school building is known to belong to the DKI Jakarta Education Office.
"A total of 500 students and teachers were saved," he said.

A total of 17 fire engines were deployed to the location for the fire extinguishing process. Currently, officers have managed to localize the fire since 12:54 WIB.
"The process of extinguishing the fire is still ongoing," he said.
Previously, it was reported that a building located on Jalan Gading IIH, RT 05/11, Pondok Bambu Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, caught fire on Tuesday, July 23, afternoon.
According to information gathered, the object caught fire was the school building at SDN 01 Pondok Bambu. The flames hit the canteen section of the school building.
"The object caught fire in the school canteen," said East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. officer in his report.
