6 Witnesses Examined At The East Jakarta Police Regarding The Confinement Case At The 1947 District Cafe Duren Sawit
The East Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) conducted an examination of 6 people reported, in the case of confinement of a young man with the initials MRR (23) at the 1947 Cafe District Duren Sawit, Duren Sawit.
"For the reported parties reported to us, we have examined 6 reported people," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly when confirmed, Wednesday, July 17.
Although 6 people have been examined, the police still determine the status of the 6 people as witnesses.
"Still in the investigation stage. Still in witness status. We have not been able to improve to the investigation stage," he said.
Kombes Nicolas said that his party was still conducting a series of investigations related to the handling of cases of confinement and torture in the Duren Sawit area.
"We hope that this process can be improved to the investigation stage for not too long and we will take the next steps," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the Duren Sawit Police had delegated the handling of a case of confinement and torture against a young man with the initials MRR (23) to the East Jakarta Metro Police on Tuesday, July 9.
Muhamad Normansyah, as the attorney for the victim MRR, confirmed the delegation of the handling of the case.
"Yes, that's right, the case is handled by the East Jakarta Metro Police," said Normansyah when confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, July 9.
Normansyah admitted that his party demanded that the East Jakarta Metro Police apply other articles other than the confinement article.
"The articles imposed are not only articles of confinement, but also include extortion, threats, persecution, sexual harassment and others," he said.
