Failed Circulation Of 48 Kg Of Marijuana From 4 Perpetrators, West Sumatra Police Suspect Related To North Sumatra's Panyabungan Network
West Sumatra Police (West Sumatra) thwarted the circulation of marijuana-type drugs weighing up to 48 kilograms (kg). Allegedly the perpetrators of the North Sumatra Panyabungan (North Sumatra) network.
Head of Public Relations of the West Sumatra Police, Kombes Pol. Dwi Sulistyawan, said that the disclosure of the case was carried out on Wednesday, July 3 in the morning.
"Evidence in the form of dried marijuana was confiscated from the arrests made at two locations on Wednesday," he said in Padang, West Sumatra, Thursday, July 4, which was confiscated by Antara.
He said the first arrest was made on the side of the road near Mine - Batu Panti, Tacapati-tatapati, Rao District, Pasaman Regency.
Meanwhile, the second location is on Jalan Lintas Panti, West Pasaman Regency at around 02.30 WIB.
At the first location, officers arrested two perpetrators, namely FH (28) and MH (38), both residents of Padang City.
"That's where we secured evidence in the form of two sacks containing 40 large packages that were strongly suspected of being dried marijuana," he said.
Meanwhile, at the location, the two police arrested two other perpetrators, namely G (41) and K (41) residents of Panyabungan, Mandailing Natal, North Sumatra.
From the hands of the perpetrators, eight large packages were found and one package was suspected of being marijuana as evidence.
Furthermore, Dwi explained that the arrest began with an investigation by the West Sumatra Police Narcotics Team of the Narcotics Directorate against the results of previous disclosures of the Panyabungan drug network.
Officers found information about the distribution to Padang and West Pasaman which would later be circulated to several areas of West Sumatra and its surroundings.

Then the team under the leadership of the West Sumatra Police's Narcotics Directorate Kombes Pol Nico A Setiawan observed the areas around the borders of West Sumatra and North Sumatra.
The team is divided into two points, namely North Sumatra-West Sumatra via Rao Pasaman, and the North Sumatra-West Sumatra border via Silaping Pasaman Barat.
In the early hours of Wednesday, July 3, a black Toyota Innova was finally observed entering the Pasaman area through Rao who was strongly suspected of carrying marijuana-type drugs from Pengyabungan to the Padang area.
With the help of the staff of the Rao Polsek Polres Pasaman, two perpetrators, namely FH and MH, were arrested by officers along with 40 packages of marijuana.
Some time later at the location the two policemen saw a motorbike driven by two men, they were suspected of carrying marijuana.
"We immediately arrested both of them, and found other marijuana drugs as evidence," he said.
He said the perpetrator and the evidence were immediately taken to the West Sumatra Regional Police for legal processing.
On the other hand, the West Sumatra Police invites the public to report if there is information related to narcotics abuse, whether it is at the Polda, Polres or Polsek.
