Truck Incident Burns On Ngawi-Kertosono Toll Road, Pertamina Patra Niaga Ensures Fuel Supply Is Safe
JAKARTA The incident of a burning fuel tanker on the Ngawi Kertosono toll road had caused a long traffic jam. However, these obstacles were handled quickly so that traffic problems due to the incident were successfully handled.
As is known, the Ngawi Regency Fire Department team together with Pertamina managed to extinguish the blaze on the fuel tanker on the Ngawi Kertosono toll road, Tuesday, June 25, at around 18.40 WIB. The alertness of the officers was able to overcome the risk of spreading the fire which had an impact on disturbances on the toll road.
The tanker with police number N 9731 UF that caught fire is known to transport fuel with a total capacity of 24 Kilo Liter (KL). The cargo caught fire on the road and was finally extinguished in less than 2 hours since the fire started to ignite.
Area Manager of Comrel & CSR Pertamina Patra Niaga Region Jatimbalinus, Ahad Rahedi expressed his high appreciation for the alertness of the Ngawi and Jasamarga Regency Fire Teams in responding and helping to extinguish the fuel tankers managed by PT Sinar Wahana Surya.

"The distribution of fuel in the East Java region did not experience any disturbance due to last night's incident, the distribution from FT Madiun to gas stations was served by 48 tank cars, including reserve tankers needed in the event of an unexpected incident like this," concluded Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Ngawi Regency Fire Team, Koko Junianto, said that his party responded to the information they received by directly sending 3 units of fire trucks and a team to the location.
"The fire team carried out security and handling at the location, by helping the tank car crew (AMT), which when we arrived, had tried to extinguish the fire using a Light Fire Extinguishing Tool (APAR) in every fuel tank car," said Koko.
The fire was declared extinguished at 20.00 WIB, and the tank car was immediately evacuated.
In the statement, it was stated that Pertamina would continue to coordinate with the National Transportation Accident Committee (NTSC) and the Ngawi Regency Fire Department to review and find the cause of the spark in the tank car.
