Duren Sawit Gas Station Employee Begal Opened Fire When Residents Wanted To Help Victims

The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Duren Sawit Police conducted a crime scene (TKP) related to the robbery of a gas station employee with the initials IM (32) in front of the Bunga Rampai Mosque, precisely at the red light Pondok Kopi, behind the Malacca Jaya gas station, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, Monday afternoon, June 24.

"We have dispatched officers to check and process the crime scene," said Duren Sawit Police Chief AKP Sutikno when confirmed.

The victim has also been taken to Pondok Kopi Islamic Hospital for medical treatment.

Furthermore, AKP Sutikno said that his party would conduct an intense investigation so that this burglary case could be revealed immediately.

Regarding the perpetrator who was carrying a firearm, said Sutikno, his party was gathering witnesses' statements. Duren Sawit Police is also checking surveillance cameras (CCTV) at residents' home to find out the chronology of the incident.

Meanwhile, according to Ahmad, one of the eyewitnesses said that the victim was suddenly grabbed by six people using motorbikes. The victim left his workplace, planning to deposit some money into one of the banks.

"It happened so fast, I was also cleaning up. Suddenly someone shouted for help," he told reporters.

Ahmad admitted that he was afraid when the incident occurred because the six perpetrators were carrying firearms and machetes.

"The victim was one person, when he was carrying a Yamaha Nmax motorbike. The victim was a gas station officer who brought money in the trunk of his motorbike. The victim's motorbike was brought by the perpetrator," he said.

When another driver wanted to save the victim, he said, one of the perpetrators opened fire upwards.

"The perpetrator fired one shot. The victim was immediately rushed to the hospital because he suffered a stab wound to his right hand," he said.
