In The Aftermath Of The Subang Ciater Accident, Tourism Buses In Tangsel Will Be Strictly Examined

TANGERANG - The Department of Transportation (Dishub) has begun to tighten the test of motorized vehicles, especially on tourism buses. Tourism bus tests were tightened following the bus accident in Ciater, Subang, West Java, recently.

" even stricter checks, especially checking the brakes, we have to be serious there," said Head of the Motor Vehicle Testing UPT (PKB) of the South Tangerang City Transportation Agency Heris Cahya to reporters, Monday, May 13.

In addition, he also asked each PO Bus to periodically check routine vehicles at least once every six months, to ensure the buses used are safe.

CHECKs can also be carried out with Dishub officers visiting the Bus PO in South Tangerang. We carry out safety inspections at 13 PO Buses by picking up the ball as well," he said.

According to him, the cause of the accident can occur from human negligence. Therefore, he reminded the drivers to always be prime when carrying their vehicles.

"Because there is no backup driver, and sleepy or reckless, there is the potential for a bus accident," he said.
