The Office of Community Empowerment and Provincial Village Government (DPMPD) of East Kalimantan (Kaltim) handed over six Decrees (SK) for Recognition and Protection of the Indigenous Legal Society (MHA) to the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) as evidence of regional commitment to MHA."We handed over the decree to the Acting Director of Institutions of the Ministry of Home Affairs in Jakarta, last Thursday, as well as a joint consultation with the Special Committee for the Establishment of Indigenous Village Institutions by the East Kalimantan DPRD," said Head of the East Kalimantan DPD Puguh Harjanto in a release in Samarinda, Friday, April 26, which was confiscated by Antara.A total of the PPMHA decrees are spread across two districts, namely two MHAs in Paser Regency and four MHAs in West Kutai Regency. Each of the decrees was issued by the local regent, while the role of the East Kalimantan Provincial Government was to provide guidance and assistance to MHA, then encourage districts/cities to issue PPMHA SK.The six decrees are MHA Mului in Swan Slutung Village, Muara Komam District, Paser Regency, then MHA Paring Sumpit in Muara Andeh Village, Muara Samu District, Paser.Meanwhile, the four PP-MHA decrees in West Kutai Regency are MHA Benuaq Telimuk in Penarung Village, Bentian Besar District, then MHA Benuaq Madjaun in Penarung Village, Bentian Besar District, MHA Bahau Uma Luhat in Ujoh Halang Village, Tering District, and MHA Peniniu Benuaq in Ongko Asa Village, Barong Tongkok District.
