Congestion And Conflict Prone, Police Will Take Strict Action On Motorcycle Convoy Groups On The Street

Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro told his staff to take firm action if they find groups of teenagers and youth who disturb the comfort of the community when breaking the fast and sahur.

"The action of the convoy on the highway has caused traffic jams and disturbed residents," he said.

To anticipate brawls between residents and youth convoys when breaking the fast and suhoor, the Central Jakarta Metro Police also held Mobile Patrols in places prone to brawls which became the route for the convoy.

The police also established a Ramadan Patrol Shelter Post, which numbered 24 posts at crime-prone points and brawls.
