KPPS Members Poisoned After Following Bimtek, Cilacap Police Conduct Investigation
Cilacap Police conducted an in-depth investigation into the food poisoning case experienced by a number of members of the polling group (KPPS) in Majingklak Village, Wanareja District, Cilacap Regency.
Cilacap Deputy Chief of Police, AKBP Dr Arief Fajar Satria, said the police had investigated this incident by examining related parties.
"We have coordinated with related parties, including the Health Office, to conduct further investigations to determine the exact cause of this poisoning," said AKBP Dr Arief Fajar Satria in a short message, Wednesday, January 31.
According to Arief, his party will take firm steps if an element of intent is found in this incident.
"We will ensure that if an element of intent is found in this incident, legal action will be taken in accordance with applicable regulations," he said.

A number of KPPS members experienced food poisoning after attending Technical Guidance (Bimtek). This incident occurred on Saturday, January 27, 2024, in Majingklak Village, Wanareja District, Cilacap Regency.
Tuesday night, January 30, the Deputy Chief of Police together with the Dokkes team from the Cilacap Police and the Wanareja District Forkopimcam arrived at the Wanareja Health Center to check the condition of KPPS officers affected by food poisoning.
"Sunday (January 28) the officers who took part in the bimtek activity began to feel pain, nausea, mules and diarrhea. There were approximately 40 people who came to the Wanareja Health Center after experiencing these symptoms," said the Deputy Chief of Police.
