The SAR Team Is Still Looking For The Missing Fisherman In The Waters Of The Thousand Islands

JAKARTA - One fisherman on the Putera Kali Beting Ship named Mul (29) who was lost in the waves around Bokor Island, Thousand Islands, North Jakarta, is still being searched by the joint SAR team, Wednesday, January 24.

The search is the 5th day after the ship accident occurred. However, until now, the joint SAR team has not found the victim.

The search for missing victims was carried out again on Wednesday afternoon to Tanjung Karawang and sweeping Damar Island. From Damar Island, the search was resumed to Anyer Island, Kelor Island, Bidadari Island, Cipir Island and Onrust Island.

"The team is moving again to the coast of Tanjung Pasir to Bokor Island. There is zero search on Bokor Island, the team continues to search for Lancang Besar and Small," said Head of the Jakarta Basarnas as SAR Mission Coordinator (SMC) in the SAR operation, Desiana Kartika when confirmed, Wednesday, January 24.

The search continued to Pari Island to the east, namely Untung Java Island. However, when they arrived at Untung Jawa Island, the search was nil, then the team returned to the Mutiara Beach Basarnas pier.

"As of TW 0123 1800 G, the search for the victim named Mul (29) has not been found yet," he said.

Furthermore, SAR operations are followed by monitoring, evaluation, and planning.

"The SAR operation will continue tomorrow at TW 0124 0700 G, the SAR operation will run safely and smoothly," he said.

Meanwhile, the main tools and palsars deployed are RBB 01 Jakarta, Navy Patrol Vessels, RIB Firefighters, Complete Water Palsar, KP. 204 KPLP and KP VII-440-304.

The SAR elements involved in the search for the Mutiara Beach crew, the TNI AL Pos Pulau Benang Jawa, Polair Polres Pulau Seribu, Kalibaru Police, Seribu Island Firefighters and others.

The fishing boat accident occurred on Friday, January 19. Initially the ship departed from Cituis to look for a stall around Bokor Island. Suddenly a storm came and high waves caused a 5-person manned fishing boat to lose control.

The entire crew of the ship fled by jumping into the sea. Four crew members were rescued by passing fishing boats.

The four victims who were successfully evacuated to the nearest island were named Jahudin (45), Frengki (32), Ifan (35), and Bili (35). Meanwhile, another crew member who is currently still being searched by officers is Mul (29).
