Moon Chae Won's Agency Opens Voice After Allegedly Absent Due To Lee Sun Kyun

JAKARTA - Moon Chae Won's agency opened its voice regarding the news of the actress's presence at the 2023 SBS Drama Awards. Chae Won reportedly did not attend this event because her co-star, Lee Sun Kyun, was involved in a drug case.

The two competed acting through the Korean drama Payback which aired this year. Usually, television stations hold annual awards events to give trophies to dramas that air throughout the year.

IOK Company as the agency explained that Moon Chae Won did receive an invitation, but so far they have not determined whether the actress will attend.

"It is true that he accepted the offer to participate in the 2023 SBS Drama Awards," said IOK Company today, Friday, December 8.

"After all, we haven't decided whether he will attend, and we will discuss this. We haven't been contacted yet (SBS) yet," he said.

Moon Chae Won and Lee Sun Kyun starred in the drama Payback which aired in January this year. Payback received a rating of 11.3 percent and became one of the SBS dramas that received a big rating among the dramas that aired.

Lee Sun Kyun was questioned for his involvement with drugs in mid-October. He was arrested along with 7 other people at an entertainment venue in South Korea.

The actor tested negative in drug use, but he was involved in drug consumption although he admitted that he did not know that the drugs he consumed were drugs.

Because of this incident, Lee Sun Kyun resigned from the drama No Way Out. His latest film Project Silence is also suspected of having to experience a release delay due to this case.

The 2023 SBS Drama Awards will be held on December 29 and will be hosted by Kim Dong Yup and Kim Yoo Jung.
