Once Buried By A Landslide, The Train Track In Cilongok Banyumas Can Be Crossed Again
BANYUMAS - The railway line (KA) at KM 340+100 between Karangandul-Karangsari Station can now be crossed again after being buried by landslide material. The recovery was due to the hard work of the joint KAI Daop 5 team Purwokerto DJKA Kemenhub, BTP Semarang, and Satpel Purwokerto to accelerate the repair of railroads buried by landslide material.
Public Relations Manager of PT KAI Daop 5 Purwokerto Feni Novida Saragih said the train was able to pass at a limited speed.
"The downstream route affected by the landslide can be passed by KA with a limited speed on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 03.41 WIB," Feni said in a written statement, Tuesday, December 5.
Feni said that the train that passed was the Ranggajati train for the Jember-Surabaya Gubeng-Cirebon connection with a limited speed past the location point at 03.41 WIB.

All train trips that pass through location points are set to operate on downstream routes that have been normalized and declared safe to pass at limited speed. KAI Daop 5 Purwokerto remains committed to maintaining the safety of train travel and thanked all parties who have been involved in the evacuation process of the railway line, added Feni.
