Moeldoko Supports Women Farmer HKTI And INTI Learning Agriculture To China
JAKARTA - Presidential Chief of Staff, Dr. Moeldoko said the need for cooperation with China in order to learn technology from each other, especially in agriculture. Moeldoko conveyed this when releasing the HKTI Farmers Delegation and the Chinese Association (INTI) to go to China in order to attend the Asean Young Preneurs at the Bina Graha Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, September 19.
"I think this needs to be explored and explored together, learn from each other about the development of agricultural technology, especially with the current food crisis which is not only a problem in our country but also globally," said Moeldoko.
The Presidential Chief of Staff who is also the chairman of the Indonesian Farmers Harmony Association (HKTI) also said that rice diversification needs to be developed properly in Indonesia. Especially with the existence of various natural phenomena today that cause long droughts in various regions.
"There are many other sources of carbohydrates that we can try to do, I suggest that farm women focus first on corn and cassava commodities, these two ingredients can be a substitute for rice. I used to eat sweet potatoes a little, I could also be a general," said Moeldoko.
With the delegation of young Indonesians who are starting to realize the potential of agribusiness in Indonesia, Moeldoko believes this will eliminate the paradigm that today's youth do not care about the agricultural sector.
"I support young Indonesians who have ambitions to develop Indonesian agriculture, so that in the future Indonesia will be more advanced in the agricultural sector," said Moeldoko.

"The main goal is that we want to be able to help Indonesian farmers and agribusiness to be able to penetrate the market easily, because so far the problem is in the length of supply chain, we want to innovate there," he said.
At the end of the event, Moeldoko, the Presidential Chief of Staff, in addition to releasing the HKTI Women's Delegation to China Asean Young Preneurs, was also signed by the HKTI MoU with INTI for Business Matching in order to encourage Chinese investment in Indonesia in the agribusiness sector.
