Living In The City Center, 4000 New Johar Residents Don't Have MCK Toilets
JAKARTA - Secretary of the Johar Baru Sub-district (Sekcam), Andre Ravinic confirmed that in his area there are 4000 residents of Tanah Tinggi and Galur Villages, Johar Baru District, Central Jakarta who do not have toilet washing toilets (MCK).
"If Johar Baru is in two urban villages. It is spread over RW 03, 14, 11 and 04," Andre said when contacted, Friday, September 15.
Andre said residents do not have MCK because the geographical or demographic conditions of the Johar Baru area are quite narrow. Not to mention the density of the population in the Johar Baru area is quite high.
"The land is so narrow that it is very difficult to create septic tanks," he said.
Andre said that currently the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is building a communal septic tank at the Tanah Tinggi Flats (Rusun).
The construction is carried out in a park area where the park will indeed be revitalized.
