Air Cable Snares Ojol Driver's Neck When His Son's Ride Falls

JAKARTA - An optical fiber utility air cable that transverses on Jalan Joglo Raya, Kembangan District, West Jakarta, has again caused a traffic accident. This time, the victim is an online motorcycle taxi driver (ojol) named Awal (40) who passed by the location.

According to the information gathered, the fiber optic utility cable was cut off after being hit by a car loaded with household tools. Then the cable was cut off and hit the victim while crossing and riding with his child.

The victim said that the aerial cable caught the sheet used by the victim while driving. As a result of the incident, the victim and her child immediately fell.

"It's dangerous because the cable is chaotic, it's not clear," he said.

However, even though the victim had an accident and fell due to an optical fiber utility aerial cable, the victim has not made a police report.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kembangan Police, AKP Diaman Saragih, said that his party immediately checked the incident.

"There has been no report about the incident. I'll check first," he briefly told VOI, Wednesday, September 13.

While confirmed separately, the Acting Head of the DKI Jakarta Bina Marga Office, Heru Suwondo, has not provided an answer regarding the handling of the chaotic aerial cable. Heru has not responded to VOI via Whatsapp message.
