Police Searching For Online Motorcycle Taxi Driver Involved In Death Of A Baby As A Result Of Promiscuity

JAKARTA - The police are investigating the case of the discovery of a baby in a noodle box that occurred in the Tomang area, West Jakarta, on Wednesday, August 24. The Tanjung Duren police chief, Kompol Muharam Wibisono, said that his party is still investigating the case.

"We are still investigating, of course, we are also completing the facts and evidence," said Tanjung Duren Police Chief, Kompol Muharam Wibisono in Jakarta, Wednesday, August 31.

Muharam said that his party had examined a woman with the initials R (20) as the mother of the baby.

Based on examination R, the baby died because it was aborted in the womb. However, the police still need information from the medical authorities to strengthen this fact.

The baby is thought to be the result of an illicit relationship between R and his girlfriend. Because R was embarrassed, the baby was dumped dead in a cardboard box.

Local residents also found the baby and immediately reported it to the police. A few moments later, the police secured R for further questioning.

Until now, the police are still looking for the whereabouts of R's lover, who is known to work as an online motorcycle taxi driver (ojol).

"We are currently processing the search. If we find it, we will ask for information, we will see how far his involvement is," he said.

Muharam hopes that the man will surrender himself to the police to facilitate the investigation process.
