Inspector General Ferdy Sambo No Longer Head Of Task Force, Police: Automatically, After Structural Position Is Deactivated
JAKARTA - The National Police confirmed that Inspector General Ferdy Sambo was no longer the head of the National Police's Special Task Force (Satgasus).
The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, said that his resignation coincided with his deactivation as the Head of the Profession and Security Division.
"That's right, automatically. After the structural position is deactivated, the non-structural position is also no longer active," said Dedi when confirmed, Tuesday, August 2.
The Head of the National Police Task Force is a position that will be obtained by all members of the National Police who serve as Head of the Profession and Security Division.
Meanwhile, the National Police Task Force is a non-structural position. In the warrant (sprin) number sprin/1583/VII/HUK.6.6./2022, this task force has several functions. One of them conducts investigations and investigations of criminal acts that become the attention of leaders in the territory of Indonesia and abroad.
Inspector General Ferdy Sambo has been deactivated by National Police Chief Gen. Listyo Sigit Prabowo from his position as Head of the Profession and Security Division. The two-star general was disabled in order to maintain objectivity in handling the case of the death of Nofriansyah Yoshua Hutabarat or Brigadier J.
"I have decided for Inspector General of Police Ferdy Sambo to temporarily deactivate his position," said Listyo Sigit.
With this removal, the position of the Head of the Profession and Security Division will be handed over to the Deputy Chief of Police, General Commissioner Gatot Eddy Pramono.
