JAKARTA - Novak Djokovic has just won Wimbledon 2022 after defeating Nick Kyrgios in the final on 10 July. This is the fourth consecutive Wimbledon title for the Serb.
The match marks the 32nd Grand Slam final overall, more than any other player in history. He is also the only player to have won all ten ATP 1000 Masters tournaments.
All of these achievements, plus 88 tournament wins throughout his career, have helped the 35-year-old amass a fortune of $220 million. Not to mention he's been world number one on five different occasions.
Professional income
In terms of prize money, Djokovic has earned $150 million from ATP tournaments, making him the highest-earning player in tennis history.
In 2011, Djokovic set a new record for the most prize money won in a season, collecting $12 million (IDR 180.2 billion).
In 2012, Djokovic signed a five-year contract with Uniqlo, in addition to signing deals with Mercedes-Benz and Seiko. Although his contract with Uniqlo expired in 2017, he soon became an ambassador for Lacoste.
Married to his high school sweetheart
Djokovic is married to Jelena Risti, whom he met in high school, and began dating in 2005. They married in 2014 and had their first child together in the same year, with their second child born three years later.
Djokovic is a big football fan and very religious. He is known to meditate for up to an hour a day and is a member of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

Victory over Nick Kyrgios on Sunday has put Djokovic in the same position as three other players in the Open era, winning four consecutive Wimbledon titles.
The first player to do so was Bjorn Borg, who won five Wimbledon championships from 1976 to 1980. Pete Sampras won four straight titles from 1997 to 2000.
And the third and most recent to do so is Roger Federer, who won five titles from 2003 to 2007.
