Chelsea Aim For Inter's Perisic To Replace Injured Chilwell

JAKARTA - Chelsea is considering signing Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic in the January winter transfer window.

Quoted by Antara from football-italy, Monday, Chelsea's move to bring in Ivan Perisic was made to cope with the absence of full-back Ben Chilwell who must be out until the end of next season.

Another reason for Chelsea's interest in signing Ivan Perisic is that the Croatian can be placed on the left or right and Thomas Tuchel appreciates the player's ability.

On the other hand, Inter is also expected to be willing to release Ivan Perisic after his contract expires next summer and try to sell the 32-year-old player in this transfer window to get some fresh funds.

Ivan Perisic has been recorded as a part of Inter Milan since the summer of 2015 when he moved from German League club Wolfsburg and was loaned for one season to Bayern Munich in 2019. During his time at Inter Milan, Perisic recorded 231 appearances and scored 49 goals and 42 assists.

Apart from Chelsea, it is reported that Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in getting the services of Ivan Perisic, however, it is believed the former Bayern Munich player will prefer to join The Blues.

It is believed Chelsea will make a move this week by making an offer to Inter after the January transfer window has only two weeks remaining.

Apart from Ivan Perisic, Chelsea are also rumored to be trying to sign Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) wing-back Layvin Kurzawa on loan until the end of this season.

Chelsea saw an opportunity to sign Layvin Kurzawa after the 29-year-old fell out of favor with PSG and has only played once this season.

Layvin Kurzawa has been at PSG for 6.5 years and in 2020 just signed a new contract with Le Parisiens. Kurzawa also played under Thomas Tuchel when the German was in charge of the Parisian club.
