Tender Auction Registration Closes, Formula E Circuit Starts Construction In February
JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria said that the registration for the tender auction for the construction of the Formula E circuit has been officially closed.
The auction opens on Wednesday, January 5. Then, the registration for this auction was closed as of Tuesday, January 11.
"Registration for the auction has been closed," Riza told reporters, Wednesday, January 12.
Riza then submitted a technical explanation regarding the asphalt construction auction for this electric car racing event to the BUMD PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) as the organizer.
"Technically, please ask Jakpro, yes," said Riza.
Separately, the President Director of PT Jakpro Widi Amanasto confirmed that the auction registration had been closed. Widi said the tender determination process would take one month.
After the tender winner is decided, the circuit will begin construction in February. "This tender process starts until the announcement of the tender will take a month. So after it is announced, we will start running in early February," said Widi.
Meanwhile, seen on the website http://eproc.jakarta-propertindo.com/, the tender for the Formula E circuit, which is located in the Ancol area, North Jakarta, has a self-estimated price (HPS) of IDR 50.15 billion.
It is known that the location of the circuit, which is named the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (JIEC), has 18 bends, 600 meters of straight track, clockwise direction, 2.4 kilometers of track length, and 16 meters of track width.
The construction process for the Formula E circuit is targeted to be completed in the next three months or in April 2022.
Formula E Jakarta Managing Director Gunung Kartiko said that since 2019, the "barrier", "airfence" and several other racing safety support facilities had been purchased first by Formula E Jakarta executives or before contractors worked on the circuit area.
According to him, some of the supporting facilities have been stored in Cikarang, Bekasi and some are just imported from China and all the goods will be imported to Ancol when there is a winning contractor to start working on the circuit in January 2022.
"We will start the tender for the contractor in January and it will be an open tender process later. After that, there is a winner. We will start working for three months until April 2022," said Gunung, Wednesday, December 29.
While waiting for the winning contractor, he said, the site for the JIEC Ancol project has also begun to work on grounding and compacting the soil.
It is true, said Gunung, that some of the locations of the Formula E circuit being built were formerly swampy areas, so the contours of the land were soft and uneven.

However, Gunung is optimistic that the circuit that will be built later in Ancol will meet the qualification standards for the International Formula E circuit from the International Automotive Federation (FIA).
This is because the FIA team monitors every circuit work directly to Jakarta, so that the track being worked on meets the qualifying standards for the Formula E race.
"They are very detailed about this circuit and later after the circuit is finished, there will also be homologation. The FIA will come for homologation. Well, before homologation, he will come first around January or February, when construction is over, he comes to review," he said.
