DKI Responds To Central Government Policy Regarding The New Variant Of The Omicron Virus
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has coordinated with the central government to respond to the new variant of COVID-19, Omicron. Among them, by preparing restrictions on people entering Indonesia through quarantine.
"Yes, we are all responding to this new variant, such as preparing restrictions and also adding a quarantine period for residents who have just traveled from abroad," said Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, Tuesday, November 30.
However, Riza said that it all really depends on the community's discipline. The government decided to limit the arrival of foreign nationals (foreigners) to prevent transmission of the new variant of Omicron.

The policy is contained in the Circular Letter of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) Number IMI-269.GR.01.01 of 2021.
Previously, Minister of Health (Menkes) Budi Gunadi Sadikin said that so far Indonesia had not found any transmission of a new variant of the coronavirus B.1.1.529 or Omicron.
"Until now, Indonesia has not seen the presence of this Omicron variant," Budi said at a virtual press conference, Sunday, November 28.
