JAKARTA - The problem of data leakage is still not finished in Indonesia. Recently, it was revealed that 34 million Indonesian passport data had just been leaked and traded on dark websites.

First discovered by cybersecurity observations of Teguh Aprianto on Twitter, he said that the hacker sold the data for 10,000 US dollars or around Rp150 million.

"For those who already have a passport, congratulations because 34 million passport data have just been leaked and traded," he wrote via the @secgron account.

According to Teguh, some of the confirmed information leaked, including passport numbers, validity date of passport, full name, date of birth, gender and others.

There, the hacker also shares 1 million sample data that can be viewed for free.

In the screenshots shared, it is also stated that a total of 34,900,867 data has a compressed and uncompressed data capacity of 4GB.

"On the portal, the perpetrators also provided samples of 1 million data. If you look at the sample data provided, the data looks valid. The Timestamp is from 2009-2020," explained Teguh.

Not to forget, Teguh also poked the accounts of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics and the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) regarding the problem of data leakage that has occurred again.

"The data that is confirmed to be leaked includes a passport number, no passport valid, full name, no birth, gender etc. This is @kemkominfo with @BSSN_RI, what have you been doing all this time?" he wrote.
