Maverick Vinales' Key To Finishing The Indonesian MotoGP Podium At The Mandalika Circuit: Technical Strategy And Experience

ManDALIKA - Aprilia Racing racer Maverick Vinales recorded extraordinary results at the Indonesian MotoGP race at the Mandalika Circuit, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Sunday, October 15.

Vinales managed to finish on the second podium in Mandalika. In fact, he had a chance to win because he had led the race after Jorge Martin (Pramac Racing Ducati) fell.

Vinales achieved this great achievement because he implemented the right technical strategy. He also successfully took advantage of the experience he had to regulate the rhythm during the race.

"When Martin started speeding up, I was patient, keeping the tires in shape. I knew that if I were too loud at the start, it would create difficulties at the end of the race," Vinales said.

The Spaniard has actually been trying to catch Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo) who leads the race, two laps before finishing. Unfortunately, his efforts only brought Vinales to a three-ten second gap between leaders of the 2023 MotoGP drivers.

"When only a few laps left, I decided to put pressure on Pecco and try to win the race," Vinales said, confiscated from Antara.

"After all, this is still a good result and ensuring that when we make good use of our technical packages, we can compete with the best," he added.
