Simple, Bawaslu Holds Nobar Debates For Presidential Candidates Using Minibuses In Front Of The JCC Building

JAKARTA - A different view can be seen in front of the entrance to the location of the 5th Presidential Candidate Debate in the 2024 General Elections Commission at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) Senayan, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, Sunday, February 4, evening.

A mini bus belonging to the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) equipped with a monitor screen on the back is parked to hold a viewing activity together (Nobar) for the 5th Presidential Candidate Debate for the 2024 General Election.

The existence of the car really helped the volunteers supporting the third Paslon Candidate to find out the contents and material at the last debate.

The functional official of the Election Supervision Facilitation Bureau, R. Alif Sudewo, said that Bawaslu deployed a surveillance corner car to be able to hear directly the dynamics of the election in the last presidential candidate debate.

"While there is only one car unit at the JCC. Because this is a presidential candidate debate, we want to know the public directly how the dynamics of facing the last presidential candidate election," he told VOI in front of the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) building in Senayan, Central Jakarta.

Alif said Bawaslu mobilized a surveillance corner car to screen for debates with the public directly.

"We provide free viewing to the public, at the same time we want to listen directly to the public. So we actually have this program to pick up the ball and bring it closer to the community," he said.

Alif added that his party had been using the surveillance corner car for 3 weeks at the Presidential Candidate Debat and Vice Presidential Candidates.

"This surveillance corner car is to pick up the ball informing the public, what are the duties and functions of Bawaslu. What are prohibited in the election of the President, Legislative and Regional Representative Council (DPD), we are now at the location of the presidential candidate debate as well as greeting the public", he said.
