One Month Hunting For Drugs, Police Arrest 87 Bandar With A Nominal Of IDR 1.5 Billion

JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Unit managed to uncover various narcotics cases from 66 police reports with a total of 87 suspects during August. A total of 77 male suspects and 10 female suspects.

Evidence of narcotics seized as much as 4.2 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, 106.8 dried marijuana, 0.5 grams of ecstasy powder and 53.16 grams of gorilla tobacco from 87 suspects.

Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Komarudin said that in the latest disclosure, his party arrested two suspects with the initials IN (37) and AS (27). The two suspects were arrested in connection with the circulation of methamphetamine.

Suspect IN works as a private employee and AS as an online motorcycle taxi. From the hands of the two, the police confiscated a total of 2.9 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine evidence.

"The methamphetamine was broken down as many as 29 medium-sized plastics ready for distribution. Per plastic there was methamphetamine weighing 101 to 102 grams," Kombes Komarudin told reporters, Friday, September 15.

Then related to the disclosure of the marijuana case, the Central Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Unit arrested one suspect with the initials RS alias Dado. From the suspect RS alias Dado, 51.9 kilograms of marijuana were confiscated.

"Then the case was developed to a US suspect in the Cianjur area, West Java. From the US suspect, 51.8 kilograms of marijuana were confiscated," he said.

Of the many narcotics confiscated, the police stated a total of IDR 1.5 billion worth of evidence. The total number of people who were saved from the dangers of narcotics was 12 thousand people.

Kombes Komarudin said, of the many suspects arrested, the police are still investigating the network of the suspects. Kombes Komarudin suspects have international networks.

"Perhaps this is a large international network. The result of this catch is the development of the arrested perpetrators and information assistance from the public as well," he said.
