Perindo's Reason For Meeting With PDIP: Most Ready And Has Strong Figures

Chairman of the Perindo Party, Hary Tanoesoedibjo, said there were three reasons to cooperate with the PDI-P (PDIP) in the 2024 election. One of them was because Megawati Soekarnoputri's party was most prepared among others.

"Many people ask questions and before being asked officially, here I answer, because the PDI-P is the party that is most prepared today. Those who fulfill the threshold above 20 percent to carry a presidential candidate. So, there is one certainty for us to start a struggle. That's the first time," said Hary at a press conference at the PDIP DPP Office, Jalan Diponegoro, Central Jakarta, Friday, June 9.

Next, his party and PDIP are considered to have the same ideology. Third, Hary highlighted Ganjar Pranowo's figure as a presidential candidate promoted by the party bearing the bull symbol.

He said, Ganjar is a person who is easily accepted by the community. In addition, he is still young and committed to continuing the work of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), including the construction of the new nation's capital.

"Those are the three things behind why we ultimately decided to cooperate with politics with the PDI-P," he said.

Previously, PDIP-Perindo signed a memorandum of understanding on Friday, June 9. Megawati at the event was accompanied by PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto, DPP chairman Prananda Prabowo and Puan Maharani, presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo, and other party elites.

Meanwhile, Hary Tanoesoedibjo accompanied by Angela Tanoesoedibjo, Daily Chair of the Perindo Party DPP Tuan Guru Bajang (TGB) Muhammad Zainul Majdi and Secretary General of the Perindo Party DPP Ahmad Rofiq. Also seen are Perindo Ustad figures Yusuf Mansyur, Aiman Wicaksono and Tama S Langkun.
