JAKARTA - Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Hadi Tjahjanto handed over 562 land certificates as a result of the land redistribution program for the people of Sodong Basari Village, Belik District, Pemalang Regency, Central Java.

The certificate is for 281 families and handed over directly to 10 representatives of the Sodong Basari Village community.

"I came here three days after being appointed by the President to become Minister. I immediately visited this area, so that in approximately one year after I arrived it was finished," Hadi said in a written statement reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 10.

The Minister of ATR/Head of BPN also handed over certificates of assets of Pemalang Regency Government totaling 18 certificates, Sodong Basari Village Government asset certificates seven fields, and handover of land parcels for Bakti Mandiri Jaya Cooperative five fields with a total area of approximately 16.46 hectares.

The handover of this certificate indicates the completion of the land problem of former business rights (HGU) PT Kencana Sikasur with the people of Sodong Basari Village. Hadi admitted that he had resolved the problem in the past almost a year, namely since 2022.

According to Hadi, it is not easy to solve problems that have occurred since 2015. Problem solving can occur thanks to the hard work, synergy, and collaboration between local governments, the Ministry of ATR/BPN, and community organizations.

"Indeed, we need time to coordinate here and there, but we are grateful that the 281 residents we see here are Gum farmers who feel happy with the presence of the state for the community. This is concrete evidence that the state is present for farmers," he said.

Given the complicated process of solving the land problem, Hadi advised the recipients of the certificate to try to maintain legal and physical evidence of land.

He advised the public to make good use of the land that was already owned and not traded to other parties.

"I'm afraid that later you will be tempted to sell the land to other parties. If you are tempted, our sweating efforts can be in vain. This land is a place to earn a living, improving the economy," said Hadi.
