JAKARTA - Singer of keroncong music artist Endah Laras dreams of more space for young people to learn and be creative in building a typical culture of the archipelago through various arts.

"The more performance buildings the more it can be a solution for artists and their work to build culture, as well as provide space for young people to be creative. This will certainly foster talent interest for young people. We must establish a new history for the next generation," said Endah after appearing at the inauguration of the cultural arts center Radjawali Semarang Cultural Center (SCC), Monday.

Endah explained that the presence of new and diverse arts and cultural centers will accommodate the creative talents of future generations so that there must be parties who dare to make breakthroughs.

"I have known Radjawali cultural arts centers since the pandemic because they have voluntarily provided space and opportunity, facilitating all artists to perform. For me it is a glimmer of hope when it slumps, so it is like there is new energy," he explained.

As a stage artist, Endah is of the view that there are fundamental differences from places for art performances outdoors and indoors.

Outside-door performance venues, said Endah, in addition to prioritizing good sound quality, also have more demands for non-technical matters such as being able to build an entertaining atmosphere complete with the hustle and bustle of its supporters.

"Indoors, it is a bit difficult because acoustics from the room must be obtained first, so that what is conveyed can be clear. For me, audio is number one. No matter how good the singer's voice or talent is, if the quality of the sound system is not good, it's all 'dead'," he explained.

The singer, who is unique to the appearance of the kebaya, also hopes for the presence of more and more performance buildings that prioritize high standards and quality.

"The acoustics at Radjawali are good, the lighting is also cool, everything is perfect. I hope this place is always maintained and maintained. I believe that running time will be better, can be the pioneer of the best performance building in Central Java. Hopefully, it can have a big impact on the surrounding environment," concluded Endah.
