Not An SUV, This Model Reaches The Most Sales In BMW Astra

JAKARTA - BMW is known as a European automotive manufacturer that presents vehicles at a fairly high price, but has the top level quality which makes this brand quite much in demand by some circles.

This is evidenced by the proceeds from sales obtained by BMW Astra over the past few years. Interestingly, the official dealers listed that the Series-3 sedan leads sales figures amid increasing SUV demand.

In BMW Astra it is still dominated by Series-3. Then, Series-2 especially 218i is below it in the sedan segment," said Sanfrantis Tanu, as BMW Astra's Chief Executive to VOI, Tuesday, October 17.

However, that does not mean that SUV sales achieved results with empty hands. Sanfrantis added that for this segment it is controlled by X1 in Indonesia.

His party has not been able to provide an exact number of sales. However, it can be ascertained that X1 is flooded with enthusiasts which makes this model enter an indent period. So, customers are required to wait for a while.

"However, what is certain is that X1's status is still pivoting because yesterday's first launching there were quite a lot of interested people, so they had to queue," explained Sanfrantis.

It has existed for a long time, the latest BMW Series-3 was introduced in Indonesia at the end of 2022 by getting some refreshes ranging from its exterior to its inside that carries luxury.

For the bottom of the engine hood, this car has a 4-cylinder 2.0 liter turbocharged engine for type 330i. This is what allows the car to run with up to 255 dk.

Meanwhile, BMW X1 comes with several changes so that it makes the entry-level SUV appear more mature and premium with some touch of luxury it presents.

The latest BMW X1 is equipped with a 1.5 liter 3-cylinder engine capable of generating up to 156 dk of power and 230 Nm of torque, allowing X1 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hour in 9 seconds.
