His Acting Is Praised By Dian Sastrowardoyo, Arya Saloka Is Actually Afraid

JAKARTA - Arya Saloka's presence in the Kretek Girl series was a surprise. The reason is, Arya Saloka's name is very attached to the soap opera Ikatan Cinta where she plays Aldebaran.

Arya himself admitted that it was difficult to release the character he had lived for two years. Transitioning from soap operas into this series makes him have to try to let go of the character.

"The preparation is quite tense because I have been in one character for a long time, filming on television and the character has been pretty long. Even on holidays, maybe I'm still that character," said Arya Saloka in a press conference today, Wednesday, November 1.

"The challenge is how to bring new characters to life. I am an old human being who seems to have been attached to that human being. Maybe I already know the figure of Aldebaran and separating it is quite PR," said Arya.

Luckily, Arya Saloka received support from fellow Kretek Girls. One of them is Dian Sastrowardoyo who praised Arya's acting in this series.

"I am proud as an older brother. He is smart, he is good, he is good. Arya managed to escape from the previous character," said Dian Sastowardoyo.

"I saw Arya successfully playing a different role from the one that was already attached," he said again.

"Mba Dian and everyone also encouraged me. When Dian said I was good and didn't get nervous, I was afraid. That's why I asked for help by Mas Rosa (Rukman Rosadi) every time I finished filming for additional courses when I got home," said Arya Saloka.

Through his latest project, Arya Saloka also learned new things about character deepening.

"I'm not trying to find my right, but it's true that it's Lebas," said Arya.

The Kretek girl tells the story of Lebas (Arya Saloka) whose father is tasked with looking for her husband (Dian Sastrowardoyo). Lebas is assisted by Arum (Putri Marino) to carry out this mission which takes them to a secret. The series will air on Netflix on November 2, 2023.
