Decided For 7 Months In Prison, Ammar Zoni Immediately Freed Without Conditions

JAKARTA - Actor Ammar Zoni underwent a verdict hearing on the case of narcotics abuse class 1, Tuesday, September 26. Ammar was sentenced by the Panel of Judges to 7 months in prison minus the rehabilitation period and the detention period that had been carried out. Based on an explanation from Ammar Zoni's attorney, Abdullah Emile Oemar, until now, his client has carried out as many as 6.5 detention periods. That way, Ammar will be estimated to be released in the second week of October. "The verdict was that Ammar was sentenced to 7 months in prison minus the rehabilitation period and detention period that Ammar had served," said Emile Oemar at the South Jakarta District Court, Tuesday, September 26. "The detention period and rehabilitation period per day are around 6.5 months, so if the decision is made, H plus 7 means October 3 from the 3rd, maybe Ammar will live about 5 days to one week," he continued.

Furthermore, Emile added that if Ammar had carried out the remaining detention period and the prosecutor did not file an appeal, his client would be officially declared free without any conditions. "Yes, nothing. There are no other conditions, Ammar, God willing, it will now depend on the prosecutor's side. If the prosecutor does not file an appeal, it means that this decision is up to date. So, if this decision is up to date, we just have to live the rest of the detention period," he said.
