Sherina 2's Adventure, Sherina And Derby Romero Not Running Out Of Ammunition Chemistry

JAKARTA - The Reunion of Sherina and Derby Romero was fulfilled by the film Adventure of Sherina 2. Those who play Sherina and Sadam will have an adventure through the new story of this film.

In Riri Riza's direction, Sherina 2's Adventure tells the story of Sherina (Sherina Munaf) and Sadam (Derby Romero) who meet when they work in Kalimantan. An incident makes them go on an adventure once again.

Even though they are familiar, the two of them feel the challenges in the process of working. They also practice choreography both for fighting and dancing scenes.

"When asked it's difficult, it's more about dialogue because a lot of things are done. The choreography is very mature but it's more difficult to dance. It's also difficult to get on the boat stuck because all hands and feet are used, but it's very fun," Derby Romero said at today's press screening, Monday, September 25.

"You have to ride a kelotok boat while having a dialogue. Yes, not just memorizing but sore, you can't move. So adventure is really adventurous," added Sherina.

Both Sherina and Derby Romero admit that it is not difficult to create chemistry. They have been friends for 23 years and know each other.

"For chemistry, we are friends for 23 years until we strike and don't stop being friends. Sher is abroad, I'm outside of horror, but the chemistry doesn't stop," said Derby Romero.

"We never stop being friends for 23 years. We both like films, we are both dreamers, so for example we don't talk about scenes but we tell stories and it builds chemistry on screen," explained Sherina.

Derby Romero and Sherina's meeting became one of the nostalgia offered by Sherina's Adventure 2. However, it was only one of many made to celebrate his first film which was loved by Indonesian audiences.

"About nostalgic, of course from the start we realized that Sherina's first adventure was released, it was not ours, but belonging to millennials who had closeness. No matter how small," said Mira Lesmana as producer.

The adventure film Sherina 2 will be shown in Indonesian cinemas starting September 28, 2023.
