JAKARTA - Three finalists for Miss Universe Indonesia 2023 (MUID) who were victims of alleged sexual harassment during body checking (body examination) were again questioned by Polda Metro Jaya investigators.

Melissa Anggraini as the reporter's attorney stated that the summons of the victims was in the context of an investigation process by the police.

"Previously they had all given information during the investigation at that time. And today, they reiterated the information at that time," said Melissa Anggraini when met at Polda Metro Jaya on Tuesday, August 29.

To investigators, the victims revealed their psychological condition after the report against PT Capella Swastika Karya as the holder of the MUID license was filed.

"That these (reported) parties did make an impression and make the attitude felt by the victim corner and pressure the victim," said Melissa Anggraini.

It is also mentioned that victims must receive assistance from psychologists for the problems they face.

"Regarding the psychological assistance that has been carried out by LPSK, there have been results. Even earlier in one of our clients, he lost a very drastic weight, difficulty eating, and so on. That is the impact, it will also be submitted to LPSK later as evidence," he said.

The reported attorney also questioned Poppi Capella's response to this problem. He said that his party had reported what the former National Director of MUID had done to investigators.

"It can be seen from the official IG MUID website, the owner whose license on August 12 has been revoked, but still uses and on behalf of MUID. We had conveyed that (to investigators)," he said.

Melissa Anggraini admitted that she had no communication from her party with the MUID organizers. With the absence of an apology from the organizers, she felt that the abused victims were cornered.

"Never mind the investigation, there is no apology until now. In fact, what they are doing is cornering the victims because what they show is only people who do not report," said Melissa Aggraini.

"This is enough to make them seem to be framed, that what they are doing is overly, that body checking is not natural, this is what we want to straighten back," he concluded.
