Regarding Prabowo's Request To Labor Does Not Demand An Increase In Salaries, Garuda Party: Facts On The Field

JAKARTA - Garuda Party Deputy General Chair (Waketum) Teddy Kusniadi assessed that the statement of the prospective presidential candidate (candidate) Prabowo Subianto who asked workers not to continue demanding an increase in salaries to the company was a fact in the field.

According to him, Prabowo does not want companies to switch to other countries so that it is detrimental to the Indonesian economy. "Prabowo said that entrepreneurs should not be required to increase their salaries continuously because they will strangled the company," Teddy said in his statement, Friday, November 10, which was confiscated by Antara.

This, said Teddy, caused the company to move to other countries so that it would harm the Indonesian economy. Moreover, he said, there have been many government programs to help the community. If these companies suffer losses, he continued, it will have an impact on the workers. In fact, not only employers who lose, but workers also lose.

"There are many workers who finally can no longer get a job and their lives are more difficult than when they still have a permanent job," he said.

Teddy menjelaskan bahwa pengurangan tenaga kerja atau pemutusan hubungan kerja (PHK) yang terjadi di mana-mana karena pendapatan perusahaan tidak lagi bisa menutupi pengeluaran.

The work of two to three people, he said, was finally carried out by one person to cover the increase in wages which was also followed by an increase in the price of materials for production.

Because he was laid off, he ended up working odd jobs, there was no permanent job so that his monthly income was far from when they were still working.

"What happened was only regret because no one could help them. People who used to invite companies could not help them," said Teddy. Therefore, Teddy reiterated that Prabowo's statement was a fact. Prabowo does not want companies and laborers to become victims. "So, Prabowo did not convey things that looked tempting, but far from reality," he said.
