Densus 88 Securs 5 Suspects In The Terrorist Network Of The Astana Anyar Police Bombing
JATENG - Densus 88 Police Headquarters managed to dismantle the terrorist network responsible for the suicide bombing at the Astanaanyar Police, Bandung, on December 7, 2022.
This disclosure was held at a press conference led by Karo Penmas Divhumas Polri, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, at the Surakarta Police Headquarters, Friday, August 4.
On that occasion, Ahmad Ramadhan was accompanied by PPID Densus 88 Kombes Aswin Azhar Siregar, Surakarta Police Chief Kombes Iwan Saktiadi and terrorism observer Islah Bahrawi
"There are five suspects who have been arrested and are being investigated by Densus 88. They are a network of groups that carried out the suicide bombing at the Astana Anyar Police," said Ahmad Ramadhan, in a written statement received by VOI, Friday, August 4.
The five suspects, he continued, had the initials S, AS alias AM, TN, PS, AG, and R.
Regarding the chronology of the arrests of the suspects, Ahmad Ramadhan explained that suspect S was arrested on August 1, 2023 at around 16.00 WIB.
"Furthermore, the Densus team conducted a search of S's house located in Banyudono Boyolali," he said.
From the results of the development, Densus then carried out a number of law enforcement or arrests of four other suspects on August 2 and 3 in the districts of Sukoharjo and Boyolali.

During the operation, said Ahmad Ramadhan, the Densus 88 team managed to confiscate several important pieces of evidence, including electronic equipment, chemicals, and tools used to assemble explosives.
Meanwhile, PPID Densus 88, Kombes Aswin Azhar Siregar said Densus 88 would conduct interrogations of suspects and forensic laboratory examinations of confiscated evidence.
"In addition, a mapping of the terrorist network will also be carried out and continue to enforce the law against other suspects involved in the suicide bombing at the Astanaanyar Police," he said.
