JAKARTA - The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) tournament specifically for women, the UniPin Ladies Series, is back in its third season.

The best women's team from all over Indonesia will again fight for the title in the tournament which will take place from August to September 2023.

Continuing the first season and both of them were successful, the UniPin Ladies Series Season 3 was held as an event to accommodate the interest and popularity of women's gamers in the country which is increasing.

A survey conducted by Inmobi stated that the number of gamers for men and women is currently almost the same. This means that today's female gamers also have great potential to contribute to the progress of the national esports industry.

"Southeast Asia is home to 250 million mobile gamers, with the largest market being in Indonesia, which has almost the same number of female gamers as men. However, most of these players have only played mobile games without having competed professionally," said SVP from UniPin Community, Debora Imanuella in a press conference, Friday, July 28.

Therefore, said Debora, special tournaments for women are very important to be held so that they become familiar with competition schemes, so that they are ready to compete, excel, and become pride for Indonesia at the international level later.

This was proven by the first season of the UniPin Ladies Series which managed to become the second most popular women's special esports tournament worldwide, with a total audience reaching more than 10.5 million on YouTube.

Public interest in female gamers in esports is expected to increase in 2023 and in the following years.

Furthermore, the UniPin Ladies Series Season 3 tournament will open with Regular Season which lasts for three weeks.
